Job Description:
Our client provides electrical consulting, manufacturing, construction, field testing/commissioning services, and training to the institutional, utility and industrial sectors, offering power system solutions to customers throughout North America and select international markets. They are looking for an Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Have enthusiasm and initiative to generate new business leads and increase the exposure of company products and services.
- Manage staff/resources as well as mentor and develop.
- Work well with others in a variety of situations and conditions as well as the capacity to resolve conflicts and provide effective solutions to both technical and non-technical issues.
Requirements:
- A 4yr. Electrical Engineering degree with a P. Eng designation from APEGM (preferred), or other Canadian P. Eng licensing body
- 10+ years experience in power systems engineering, including project management and managerial experience in the areas of hiring and mentoring staff, managing resources, meeting financial targets and implementing cost control strategies
- Possess proven leadership abilities, business acumen and be able to strategize regarding financial targets, cost control and project management
- Substantial experience with complex electrical analysis and design on major projects
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Software and previous experience in ESA, SKM and ETAP software
