Business Development Representative - Winnipeg, MB

Job Description:

Our client provides electrical consulting, manufacturing, construction, field testing/commissioning services, and training to the institutional, utility and industrial sectors, offering power system solutions to customers throughout North America and select international markets. They are looking for an Business Development Representative.

Are you a Business Development Representative who can do the following:

  • Deal effectively with clients through initial customer contact by cold calling, industry contacts and research being aware of current projects and RFPs; while ascertaining client and vendor requirements by identifying the region and keeping abreast of industry standards/changes.
  • Utilize an inquisitive, intuitive attitude, be willing to learn and grow and have the drive to accomplish goals in a large diverse company.
  • Communicate effectively with different personalities and decision makers from all walks of life company-wide and be aggressive in fact-finding, aware of internal contacts and know how to obtain information from them.
  • Establish excellent rapport and work cohesively with the VP of Operations, Operations Manager and the Technical Inside Sales Rep daily and through weekly conference calls.
  • Possess highly developed communication skills (oral and written) with strong leadership abilities and the capability to be cross trained.
  • Fully utilize the Microsoft 2010 suite of programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint (to create reports) as well as Timberlines (estimating software), Outlook, internal technical software proprietary to the company and training resources to improve technical skills.
  • Be able to travel throughout 50% of the time to Manitoba and Regina to obtain new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients and utilize the existing network to find new leads.

Do you have the following requirements:

  • Journey man, Electrician or CET designation with experience in sales
  • 5+ years of sales experience with solid knowledge of the full sales cycle
  • Experience required in the Power System Solutions industry with knowledge of RFPs and RFQs
  • Possess experience with the Microsoft Suite of programs, technical software and Timberlines (estimating)

Engineering Manager - Winnipeg, MB

They are looking for an Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Have enthusiasm and initiative to generate new business leads and increase the exposure of company products and services.
  • Manage staff/resources as well as mentor and develop.
  • Work well with others in a variety of situations and conditions as well as the capacity to resolve conflicts and provide effective solutions to both technical and non-technical issues.

Requirements:

  • A 4yr. Electrical Engineering degree with a P. Eng designation from APEGM (preferred), or other Canadian P. Eng licensing body
  • 10+ years experience in power systems engineering, including project management and managerial experience in the areas of hiring and mentoring staff, managing resources, meeting financial targets and implementing cost control strategies
  • Possess proven leadership abilities, business acumen and be able to strategize regarding financial targets, cost control and project management
  • Substantial experience with complex electrical analysis and design on major projects
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Software and previous experience in ESA, SKM and ETAP software

A Barrie Law firm is immediately seeking a part-time IT technican for network support. Key responsibilities include:
-installing, maintaining and troubleshooting operating systems and software, including Microsoft and other applications
-monitoring data integrity, back-up, firewall and anti-virus software
-liaising with software vendore
-offering recommendations for software upgrades where appropriate
-training end users on software
-troubleshooting software, network and printng problems
-general assistance with all for the firms' technology needs

We use Microsoft Outlook and Blackberries and a variety of specialized legal software.

The qualified candidate must have experience in network support including working with mobile devices. Excellent communication skills are required.
