Intermediate Project Engineer - Calgary, AB

Job Type: Fulltime

Job Description:

We have been providing the oil and gas industry in Alberta with facility design engineering consulting services since 1971. Reporting directly to a Senior Project Manager / Engineer, this Calgary office based role is a continuing portion of the engineer/technologists’ technical training and professional development. Assignments will involve aspects of project scoping, engineering design, regulatory development, project cost control and scheduling, as well as procurement, construction management support, and supervision of junior staff.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Participate in economic and technical feasibility studies for oil & gas facility and pipeline projects, as well as detailed planning and design.
- Prepare and implement specifications, cost estimations, equipment scope and deliverables in accordance with project requirements.
- Assist in problem solving that arises during project or assignment execution.
- Prepare, interpret or review calculations, specifications, plans, investigations, systems or equipment with increasing levels of complexity.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of OEL engineering tools, processes and standards.
- Work with drafting staff to prepare and interpret schematic, process and equipment drawings, layouts and other deliverables.
- Perform review and evaluation of equipment vendor data and drawings and coordinate with supplier and client personnel.
- Prepare regulatory submissions for facility projects to the ERCB, AENV, ABSA and other bodies as required.
- Coordinate material and equipment procurement and scheduling with vendor and field personnel during construction phases.
- Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and technologists as well as drafting and administration personnel.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

- Engineering degree from an accredited university or a Technical Diploma, with 3 to 8 years relevant experience.
- Registration as a Member in Training or Professional Engineer with APEGGA, or CET / RET with ASET as applicable.
- Knowledge of applicable provincial and federal design codes and safety laws.
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients and suppliers
- Working knowledge of engineering computer programs, work planning and control methods.
- Ability to work and adapt in a flexible, fast-paced environment
- Travel as required to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Senior Project Manager - Calgary, AB

Reporting directly to the VP Engineering, this role is responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team of 6 to 8 personnel, coordinating and supervising the technical, financial and administrative functions of a wide range of facility projects. This will include overseeing the scoping, preliminary & detailed design, procurement, construction management and commissioning support as required.

Primary Responsibilities

- Manage technical personnel through the execution of multiple client projects.
- Plan, coordinate and review engineering requirements and responsibilities between disciplines on projects and assignments.
- Liaise between clients, support staff and third party consultants and contractors in all facets of project planning and execution as required.
- Provide comprehensive engineering services according to project or assignment criteria to achieve safe, cost-effective and efficient project outcomes.
- Participate in economic and technical feasibility studies for projects.
- Prepare and implement specifications, cost estimations and controls, scope of equipment and materials needed, and deliverables in accordance with project requirements.
- Oversee and review the development of P&IDs, PFDs, as well as other engineering drawings, calculations and project deliverables.
- Participate in the development of OEL engineering standards and procedures.
- Provide management and direction to drafting leads and project administration staff.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

- Engineering degree from an accredited university or a Technical Diploma, with 10-15 years relevant experience.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer, Professional Licencee, CET or RET with APEGGA, or ASET as applicable.
- Proficient in the review and development of process and instrumentation diagrams, equipment, piping and valve sizing, as well as HAZOPs and general troubleshooting support.
- Knowledge of applicable provincial and federal design codes and safety regulations.
- Working knowledge of engineering software programs and solutions.
- Mature experience in engineering work planning, risk management and control methods.
- Strong problem solving capability.
- Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with personnel and clients.
- Travel as required to ensure the successful execution of projects.
- Ability to work and adapt in a flexible, fast-paced environment.

The screen printer designs the layout of the screens, shoots the screens and then sets up the automated screen printer to produce the run on various substrates. The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge in Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator to design the layout, the knowledge and ability to shoot the image(s) onto the screen(s), and set up the automated press for runs of up to 4 colour process. Job description :

A T11A Beverage Equipment Merchandiser has an assigned territory of food service accounts and on a part-time ongoing basis does the following:

· Verify Beverage equipment

· Perform Preventive Maintenance on Beverage equipment

· Provide Beverage product compliance

· Update basic account information

· Report sales leads, service and repair needs

· Develop relationship with account

· Distribute merchandising materials

· Complete online reports accurately and on a timely basis

Pay Rate:

· $13.00 - 14.00 per visit

· Mileage available (to be discussed further at time of interview)

· $.40 per call report form

Job Requirements:

· Flexibility to work Monday thru Friday, between the hours of 7 AM and 6 PM (no lunch time visits) on a varied visit schedule (2-4 times per year)
