5 to 7 years Drafting Experience
5 to 7 years Estimating Experience in a Custom Steel Fabrication shop
Some sales experience (ability to interact with and build solid relationships with General Contractors, Architects and Engineers)
Detail Oriented
Sense of Urgency
The succesful candidate will pocess knowledge and experience with the following attributes and abilities:
Project Specifications
Material Takeoff of Steel Stairs, Rails, Ladders, and Platforms
Pricing Stairs- Knockdown assemblies versus prefabricated units
Pricing Single, Two, Three, Four Line Railing, Picket Railing, Wall Mounted Railing, etc.
Shop vs Field Assemblies
Finishes- Primed vs Galvanized vs other
Standard Labor Units
Field Verification
Detailing Considerations
Finalizing the Estimate including Conditions, Qualifications, and Exclusions
