Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY: Provide technical expertise for the development and implementation of capital projects for multiple manufacturing facilities as part of the Division Engineering Team. Provide engineering and project management leadership to multiple manufacturing facilities.
MAIN DUTIES:
• Develop scope, cost and schedule for projects for assigned projects including, but not limited to processing equipment, packaging equipment, buildings and utilities.
• Foster open communications and solicit cross-functional input for projects.
• Write and submit Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR’s).
• Provide project management and successfully deliver project scope, cost, schedule and effective cross-functional communication for assigned projects.
• Provide leadership and support for sanitary design of equipment and buildings.
• Identify and implement cost reduction projects.
• Lead the development of the Fiscal Year Capital Plan for selected manufacturing facilities.
• Develop accurate order of magnitude budgets, schedules and operational factors for exploratory projects.
• Provide Division Engineering support for the successful execution of the Fiscal Year Capital Plan.
• Stay abreast and evaluate new and emerging technologies for application in RFBP’s business.

• Number of employees supervised: 0
• FY10 annual capital program
• Supporting multiple manufacturing facilities in the US and Canada with approximately 50% travel
WORKING RELATIONSHIP:
• Must be able to work effectively with general direction.
• Must be able to effectively provide specific direction/specifications to equipment suppliers and contractors so as to support manufacturing plant operations.
• Must be able to work independently and in teams, internally and externally to RFBP.
• Must have good interpersonal skills.
EDUCATION: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering
EXPERIENCE (Years/Type):
• 8 – 10 years project engineering experience managing capital projects for Food Manufacturing Facilities
• Mechanical installations
• Electrical installations including a basic knowledge of PLC’s, electrical power and electrical controls.
• General knowledge of packaging equipment and conveying systems
• Plant facilities and utilities (ammonia refrigeration knowledge a plus)
• Microsoft Office including Project (AutoCAD experience preferred)
