Territory Manager - Edmonton, AB

Job Description:

Responsible for the gain of profitable business (sales growth) of products, systems & services within a defined geographic region for regional health care & hospitality accounts and the servicing of those accounts.
Responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle from identifying/following up on potential sales leads, contacting companies, arranging appointments, delivering presentations and closing sales.

The focus is selling, account service, and product application.
Prospect to identify and quantify new potential customers, including cold calling, peer network, direct selling, and developing of leads through referral channels (distributors, buying groups).
Form and maintain positive selling and servicing relationships with current and potential sales base.
Manage designated sales territory in accordance with sales policies and procedures; penetrating current chains with new products and systems.
Promote full range of products expanding customer portfolio.
Inform customers of changes in technology and introduction of new products that would enhance their business.
Represent the Company in accordance with all ethical standards and the principles of This We Believe.Participates in customer meetings at the request of the District Management group. Prepares necessary reports for District Manager including the accurate and timely completion of all daily reports, quality assurance reports, new business proposals, 90 day sales plans, expense reports, IMAPS, customer records management, and accounts receivable management plans.
Be aware and participate as required in any and all Company skills development opportunities; continuous improvement focus of such skills as planning, organizing, selling techniques, negotiations, industry knowledge/competitive intelligence.
Participation in the on call rotation for the Sales/Service reps with the H&H group.
Any and all other duties as may be assigned by management at any time.

Contacts with Head Office usually involve the following departments: Marketing, Corporate Accounts, Business Development and Distributor Management regarding relevant business activity and marketing changes within the region; Equipment, pertaining to the ordering of equipment for regional needs; Technical Centre for the follow-up on product complaints involving quality and requests for product formulas; Credit for consultation on account status, collections and release of products; Customer Service/Management Centre

Exceptional interpersonal abilities and the ability to regularly interact with line staff, customers, and sales/marketing staff.
Technical Skills: Understands and can explain benefits of products, systems, and services.
Strong value-proposition selling ability.

Deputy Fire Chief - Swift Current, SK

Job Description:

The City of Swift Current is seeking a key player for its Fire Department management team. Located on the Trans Canada Highway, Swift Current is a progressive City of 16,000 people serving as the hub of South West Saskatchewan, within a trading area of approximately 55,000 people. The area is largely an agricultural base, with oil and gas, tourism and manufacturing sectors contributing to the economy. The City of Swift Current has many larger city amenities, and provides the quality of life of a smaller community.

The Fire Department is a composite department consisting of Fire Chief, two Deputy Fire Chiefs, full-time Fire Fighters and a complement of Auxiliary Fire Fighters. The Deputy Fire Chief position is under the direction of the Fire Chief, sharing core responsibilities including Fire Suppression, Fire Prevention, Fleet Management, Staff Development, Operations, Public Education, Quality Assurance, and other management related duties.

Eligible candidates should possess:
• Recognized Company Officer II or training equivalent – preference given to candidates with post-secondary education in either Business or Public Administration and/or related fire service management programs
• Level II Fire Inspector
• Level II Fire Service Instructor, with proven ability in development and delivery of staff development programs
• Seven to ten years of progressively responsible fire service experience including knowledge and experience in fire prevention, public safety education, fire, rescue and emergency medical response, with the ability to command emergency incidents if required
• excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with all levels of staff, elected officials, business community, media and the general public.
