EDUCATION PROGRAM MANAGER

We are an international leader in research, technology development and training in all areas of waste management. We are currently developing modular operator training courses in wastewater treatment and organizing regular waste management technical seminars. It is a three-year renewable contract position.

Key responsibilities include:
.
• In consultation with the EWMCE Education Committee and multi-party steering committees, manage the administration, development and implementation of training and education programs;
• Design and monitor business plans and strategies to support the growth of EWMCE educational programming;
• Advise on and guide the use of technology in the development and delivery of educational content;
• Develop new partnerships and enhance existing partnerships with key companies, agencies and institutions to advance the EWMCE education and training programs;
• Guide the marketing of educational programs to the EWMCE’s key regional and international markets;
• Advise on education-related content for the EWMCE website and promotional materials;
• Prepare grant funding applications to support education programs;
• Manage the planning and implementation of EWMCE conferences, technical seminars, workshops, networking and business development events;
• Supervise coordination and logistics associated with delivery of training and education events;
• Other related duties as required.

You have a Master’s degree in Education, Science or Arts, and an interest in working in the environmental education field. Over 5 years current, relevant experience in training course development, implementation and evaluation is essential. Industry experience is an asset.

You are a self-motivated, highly organized and flexible individual who is a strong communicator, with effective interpersonal and teamwork skills. You will possess strong project management, budgeting and problem-solving skills, are able to multi-task and are skilled in using MS Office applications.

You must possess a valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License and supply your own vehicle for business use as required. You will be reimbursed in accordance with the Centre’s car allowance policy. On-site parking is provided.
