Job Description:
The Sales / Customer Service Representative will undergo training and perform duties related to prospecting using the phone, meeting with prospects at their place of business or in Target’s boardroom and follow a sales action plan to ensure sales progress, success sustainability and growth. Successful candidates will start out selling Target ‘boxed’ Internet solutions, including an ecommerce solution, reservation engine, other niche Internet and print products while learning the capabilities of the company. The position calls for the eventual graduation into a senior sales / consulting role of selling customized solutions that fulfill specific business requirements.

• strong computer skills (MSOffice, Internet) including familiarity with web usability, Internet terms and technologies
What you will be doing:
• participate in approximately two weeks of product and sales training
• work the sales plan as per training
• work out of the Target office
• use the phone to arrange for meetings
• network at key business and industry association meetings
• make sales presentations at prospect’s business location or in Target’s boardroom
• selling Target products and services, including new websites and hosting services, reservation systems, ecommerce solutions and other niche ‘boxed’ solutions to small and medium sized businesses
• work with the sales manager and production manager to ensure any prospect questions are taken care of efficiently
• effectively communicate, work with and support production team in implementation of deliverables as required
• exercise poise, tact, diplomacy and confidentiality
• learn about Target’s full service capabilities in order to grow into a consultative sales role of offering customized online and offline marketing solutions
Education/Work Experience:
• 3+ years experience in technology consulting sales/solution sales/concept selling
• preference to those candidates with advertising/marketing agency or experience working with an Internet technology company
• post secondary education in business or marketing is an asset
