Job Description:
The Women’s Centre is a non-profit support and resource centre for women. Our mission is to be every woman’s place for support, connections and community. We offer a range of services delivered by volunteers within a community development model. We are seeking an Outreach Co-ordinator to fill a permanent full-time position. Duties include developing links with women and groups in the community, developing and disseminating information about the Women’s Centre and community presentations.
Qualifications
• Demonstrated outreach and community development skills
• Minimum Bachelor level in community development or equivalent
• Knowledge of accessibility and diversity issues
• Multilingual
• Team building and independent work experience
• Commitment to improving the status of women
• Minimum 3 years experience working with women in the community
• Excellent communications skills
• Competency with Microsoft Office and internet use
• Can accommodate a flexible work schedule including regular evening shifts
