Alumni Support is a not for profit organization that needs Dynamic people to join our team! We are recruiting for 3 positions, one full time and two part time. The hours are Monday through Friday, 9 to 2:30 or 3, depending on the job. These hours are also flexible to best suit the needs of the individuals. What we are looking for are people who see the intrinsic value of being in this field and seeing people succeed despite the odds and always being told they can't. We need team members who want to break down the barriers to exclusion and build the bridges to inclusion. What you would be doing, in essence, is acting as an individuals arms, legs and voice. Our folks have multiple disabilities and don't communicate in the traditional sense of the word ( they are, however, VERY expressive!!) You would be the physical component needed to complete their various job duties, which range from feeding the insects at the Museum to shelving movies at BlockBuster, depending on the individual you work with. Through this you would be assisting someone to fully access our community and taking them one step closer to inclusion. You are responsible, reliable and genuine.
