Job Summary

Ontario Water Products has an immediate opening for an HDPE Fusion Technician based in our Hornby, Ontario branch. Reporting to the Manager of HDPE, the successful candidate must be able to solve problems on site and adapt to municipal and industrial situations. This position will require long hours during the busy season and will also require out of town services. The successful candidate will have outstanding organizational and computer skills, be able to learn on the fly, thrive in a multi-taking environment and possess a can-do attitude. Attention to detail is a must.

Core Responsibilities
• Ticket in butt fusion welding
• Ticket in electro fusion and extrusion welding an asset
• Mechanically inclined
• Knowledgeable in the interpretation of municipal specifications
• WHMIS ticket
• Valid drivers license (an abstract will be required)
• Forklift ticket (an asset)
• Perform other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Intermediate to advanced computer skills using Windows and MS Office Suite
• Result-focused, customer-centric and self-motivated individual
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
• Ability to act independently, decisively and quickly under pressure.
