The first will prepare the successful candidate, preferably a recent University or College graduate, for a full-time position in Outside Sales. This is an 18 to 24 month program consisting of five training phases, each with a duration of anywhere from 1 to 7 months. The second program prepares the successful candidate for a position in Counter/Inside Sales. Assignments will involve aspects of project scoping, engineering design, regulatory development, project cost control and scheduling, as well as procurement, construction management support, and supervision of junior staff.<br /><br />PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:<br /><br />- Participate in economic and technical feasibility studies for oil &amp; gas facility and pipeline projects, as well as detailed planning and design.<br />- Prepare and implement specifications, cost estimations, equipment scope and deliverables in accordance with project requirements.<br />- Assist in problem solving that arises during project or assignment execution.<br />- Prepare, interpret or review calculations, specifications, plans, investigations, systems or equipment with increasing levels of complexity.<br />- Contribute to the ongoing development of OEL engineering tools, processes and standards.<br />- Work with drafting staff to prepare and interpret schematic, process and equipment drawings, layouts and other deliverables.<br />- Perform review and evaluation of equipment vendor data and drawings and coordinate with supplier and client personnel.<br />- Prepare regulatory submissions for facility projects to the ERCB, AENV, ABSA and other bodies as required.<br />- Coordinate material and equipment procurement and scheduling with vendor and field personnel during construction phases.<br />- Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and technologists as well as drafting and administration personnel.<br /><br />KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:<br /><br />- Engineering degree from an accredited university or a Technical Diploma, with 3 to 8 years relevant experience.<br />- Registration as a Member in Training or Professional Engineer with APEGGA, or CET / RET with ASET as applicable.<br />- Knowledge of applicable provincial and federal design codes and safety laws.<br />- Ability to effectively communicate with clients and suppliers<br />- Working knowledge of engineering computer programs, work planning and control methods.<br />- Ability to work and adapt in a flexible, fast-paced environment<br />- Travel as required to ensure the successful execution of projects.<br />- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.<br /><br />If you are a self-starter with excellent communication and project management skills, we would be interested in hearing from you. <br /><br />We thank all applicants for their interest. He would be accountable for organizing, planning, and delivering turnarounds according to agreed Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards as well as the planning, cost, quality, and design targets. Furthermore, he has to ensure a maximum operational availability during the post-turnaround production period. <br /><br />Primary Objectives/Responsibilities:<br />&bull; Turnaround organization design (Roles &amp; Responsibilities) and resource planning for both owner/operator staff and contractors <br />&bull; Scope definition &amp; optimization<br />&bull; Support contracting and procurement activities <br />&bull; Effective capital projects and maintenance work-scope integration, including alignment of critical milestones <br />&bull; Risk management, including contingency planning <br />&bull; Readiness reviews <br />&bull; Contracting partnering <br />&bull; Management of Field execution, including quality, schedule and budget targets<br />&bull; Scope management , change management<br />&bull; Lessons learned capturing<br />&bull; Shut down and start up readiness and execution (operating procedures, operator competence, operation shut down and start up plans, decontamination.) <br />Also important are the following special challenges:<br />&bull; Guaranteeing the availability of resources and ensuring an appropriate focus, especially pre-turnaround <br />&bull; Constant improvement of the overall turnaround process<br /><br />Education &amp; Experience<br />The minimum requirements for education and experience are listed below.
